This quote is a reference to a character in the book, "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz," who is a little girl, a farm girl who lives in a small house in a cornfield. On her way home from school one day she sees a man dressed in green clothes and flying through the sky.

When she gets home her parents tell her to not talk about such things and to be careful when she sees such things because they could be dangerous. While she thinks the man is scary and believes what her parents told her, she still wants to know what he looks like and how she can see him again. Then one day when she is walking through the cornfield to get home she sees the same man dressed in green clothes and flying through the sky and again tells him that he has been there before and wants to know more about him.

She asks if he will come back and he says yes. He tells her that if at night when it's dark she goes out into the field where the cornfields are, then he will come back again. She goes out to do this at night and there he is again so they talk about their day together and how they got along so well together.

He tells her that his name is Oz and that she can call him that or Toto if she likes because that's what his dog was named after. He also tells her that his ship is somewhere out in space and that it will come back eventually and be right there for them to fly on again: "when we get tired of flying."
